GIVING IS IN YOUR NATURE

BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again (Luke 6:38).

ALL ABOUT CHRISTMAS

God in a Manger

Christmas is not about the Savior's infancy; it is about His deity. The humble birth of Jesus Christ was never intended to conceal the reality that God was being born into the world.
But the modern world's version of Christmas does just that. And consequently for the greater part of humanity, Christmas has no legitimate meaning at all.

5 ways to go from sickness to health

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee (Proverbs 4:20-24).
This passage of Scripture reveals God’s prescription for life and health. It contains instructions that, if properly followed, can literally change your life and your physical condition from sickness to health.
So, let’s look closely at what God is saying.

SUPERNATURAL FORGETFULNESS

By Kenneth Copeland
One afternoon several years ago, I was in a hotel room preparing to preach a message. As I was studying, I stopped for a moment to pray in the spirit. When I did, I had a vision.
I saw a 6-inch pipe suspended about 18 inches away from my face and angled up at about 45 degrees. It was like looking up through a telescope. I could see into one end of the pipe, but it was clogged and dark.

LOVE CAN MAKE A HELL OF HEAVEN

When you lack interest in everything. You just sip and sleep. With dimmed lights, you will dream bright and with closed eyes, you will see stars.
People are constantly trying to influence us, to tell us what to do, and just as often, we tune them out, resisting their attempts at persuasion. There is a moment in our lives, however, when we all act differently...when we are in love.

5 TIPS TO GET THINGS DONE FAST

1 Decide & Write
As I said earlier, whatever you write down is more likely to happen than whatever you just store up in your head. Take out a pen and paper and write down the top 3-5 goals. What are the things you really want to bring about in your life whether it’s professionally, physically, romantically, personally, spiritually, intellectually, etc. You can plan for success in any area of your life. But it’s important to be clear about what you want and even more importantly, why you want what you want.
Keep this page in your planner to refer to whenever you need a bit of a boost when you ask yourself, “What’s the point of all this again?” Now, let’s start planning your life.

CHANGE YOUR WORLD

Sometimes life must not be perfect for you to dream, you are so free to dream and expect nothing less. You need to be grateful and then you will realize that the way you think will change. When I come face to face with my problems I try not to think of the problem but I think of the solution to the problem. Nobody is saying you will be loved by everyone to become great, the truth is if everybody loves you in this world then something must be really wrong with you.

NAKED

There is a saying that a true friend is one who sees you naked and still desires to be with you. Hope you don’t mind me asking, but can I be NAKED with you? Oh please, don’t entertain a thought of “perversity” towards me. By the term NAKED, I literally don’t mean the stripping off of our woolen garments and exposing all our curves and contours, bruises and scars, biceps and triceps, stretch marks and birth marks and other bodily endowments that others might or might not be interested in. I just mean can I be real!!! - it’s not an assessment of physical nudity but a perception of inner/emotional nakedness.

SET A HIGH STANDARD

Sometimes in life we have to be able to dream really big, think of doing something really greater than you ever imagined. your dreams are real, you just have to keep dreaming. A wise man once told me that ' you don't try to compete with others but yourself'. This is one of my rule, that is why I don't even try to admire anybody. You need to set your standards high for yourself, remember you are competing with yourself only.

8 PUBLIC SPEAKING TIPS

1. What was I really afraid of?

Many people have stage fright, but in order to learn how to cope with it, you need to find out exactly what you are afraid of. Some are afraid that they will embarrass themselves, whereas some think they will be rejected by the audience. This all leads to sweating, forgetting your lines and being unable to speak fluently.

ARE YOU IMPORTANT?

When was the last time you did exactly what it was that you wanted to do without making any compromises? Do you find yourself saying ‘Yes’ to others’  requests a lot more often than saying ‘No’? What about that friend that you  have that only calls to tell you about what they need your help with and interrupts you whenever it’s clearly your turn to vent? Do you ever feel like you are giving too much and have little left over for yourself?

20 WAYS TO MAKE THIS MONTH MORE AWESOME

1. Clean Out Your Closet / Any Area of Your Life - Clutter and disorganization are the devil. Holding onto things you don’t need or use only takes up space that can be used for things you will love and inhibits your freedom. When your surroundings are messy and your items don’t have a home, you’ll waste a lot of time looking for things, time that can be better spent not stressing over that search. If you haven’t gotten around to “spring cleaning”, now’s the time. If you “don’t have the time” at least take 10-15 minutes to go through your wardrobe and pull out things that you haven’t worn/don’t need and set it aside to give away or toss. On the other side if you find something you haven’t worn but “Love!” and “OMG! Totally forgot I had this!” place it up front in your closet and resolve to wear it at least once this month or out it goes! Taking a quick look through your closet every so often will refresh your memory about what you own and end up saving you money that you might have spend purchasing something really similar.

It's the Heart that Matters

All of us have areas where we struggle. We all make mistakes and do things that we know we shouldn't. We tell ourselves that we aren't going to give in to that temptation anymore, but we do it again. Or, we lose our temper or compromise in some way. It's easy to go around feeling guilty and condemned. Your mind will whisper, "God's never going to bless you. You can't get it right. You don't deserve it. Just sit on the sidelines." We think we have to have a perfect performance in order for God to bless us. We think, "Once I overcome in these areas, then I'll have God's favor. Then I'll feel good about myself." But Scripture says, "God searches the earth to show Himself strong in people whose hearts are turned perfect toward Him."

IF GOD BRING YOU TO IT, HE WILL TAKE YOU THROUGH IT

Everybody are always worried about what to do, what not to do, what to say, what not to say. But there is always that one person that will always be there no matter the obstacle, and that person is the holy spirit. Jesus said that he would send us the holy spirit who would be our counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener and standby that would be with us forever.  we just need to keep building up our faith,  no matter where we are the same God that brought us to it will bring us through it.

8 THINGS THAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN YOU SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVITY

1. Your Attitude Will Change

I love spending time with my positive friends! I get energized and excited. My attitude becomes one of confidence and peace. You will enjoy the same results. Time with negative people will affect your attitude negatively, but time with positive people will allow you to move through circumstances with a smile on your face.

WHO OR WHAT INFLUENCES YOU?

God wants you and me to live blessed lives. He loves us so much, and He has given us the keys to access His blessing.  In Psalm chapter one, He tells us that it's important who we hang around and who we allow to speak into our lives. It's important who influences the decisions we make. It says, "Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers, but his delight is in the law of the Lord." In essence, God is saying, "Make My Word the standard for everything in your life because that's how you will live a blessed life!"

JUST KEEP GOING!

In Genesis 12, God told Abraham to leave his homeland and go to a new place. At the time, it didn't make a lot of sense to Abraham because he was comfortable where he was. He had family and friends, and he was familiar with the land. Abraham could have easily chosen to stay right where he was, but he knew that if he would step out of his comfort zone, God would give him something better. He knew that the best choice was to obey God no matter what it cost him.

20 THINGS TO DO THAT CAN BOOST YOUR SELF CONFIDENCE

  1. 1.  Write down 7 minor goals for the week and tick one off each day as you achieve it.
  2. Read a book a month.  Reading a book is actually an achievement in this technology and media  driven world and reading a full book is a great way to achieve a sense of accomplishment.
  3. At the end of each day before falling asleep write-down something you feel proud about, either on the day or in the past.

6 THINGS A TRUE FRIEND WILL ALWAYS DO

1. Take a genuine interest in others.
Dale Carnegie, author of How to Win Friends and Influence People, said, “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get people interested in you.” As we listen to others and show an interest in what is important to them, we begin to truly love and understand them. Every person has an invisible sign around his or her neck that reads, “I want to feel important.” Everyone has something to offer this world. We need to search for it, find it, and bring it to the surface.

WHAT IS ORMAH’S BLOG ALL ABOUT

WHAT IS ORMAH’S BLOG ALL ABOUT?

It was for fun at first, I just wanted to have a blog that I will be able to share the little I have learnt from life and how I conquered them. I love to motivate people, it is something I easily do, I am too emotional and I used to take life the way it comes, but when I learnt that everything that is happening to us was attracted by us, how you can change your life from your thoughts, how you can also change your life by being grateful. I am not perfect and am also going through my transformation. I love to make people understand that no matter what is happening can only be changed by you and only you.

I NEVER GAVE UP

It was like there was no other choice but to give up. Things falling apart at the verge of my success. The glowing lighting turning dim right before my eyes. Like mercy was not on my path and grace far from my habitat. Frustration became the order of the day and fear of the unknown became my companion.
It all began as a result of my fees. I have been on full scholarship till this certain year when my scholarship was withdrawn as a result of a drop in my CGPA from a first class to a second class upper. My statement of account was released and my fees was beyond my imagination.

10 MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE POOR AND THE RICH

1. The Rich Dream, Plan and Implement While The Poor Only Dream

Procrastination is the ideal word to describe this sub-title. A rich man lacks this quality, that is why he can immediately put to action his ideas. On the contrary, poor people are blessed with uncomfortable beds that encourages them to keep dreaming. Success only comes when action is applied to thoughts and ideas.

DOES SHOKI DANCE STEP GLORIFY GOD?

Is a funny question really, this is because many skeptical Christians have defined their own standard on what they feel is acceptable to God. They don't really know God's opinion on this.
Every dance done from a genuine heart of praise to God is totally acceptable to him. Someone may not agree with this, but lets's break it down.

15 THINGS A CONFIDENT PERSON WILL NEVER DO

1. They don’t make excuses.

Highly confident people take ownership of their thoughts and actions. They don’t blame the traffic for being tardy at work; they were late. They don’t excuse their shortcomings with excuses like “I don’t have the time” or “I’m just not good enough”; they make the time and they keep on improving until they are good enough.

AVOID JEALOUSY

Imagine someone having everything that you could ever want. A beautiful face. In perfect health. Lots of money. Lots of friends. Drives around in a luxury vehicle or even has a personal driver. Refers to a mansion as “home”. Travels frequently to some of the most breath-taking exotic locations. Dines in the finest restaurants. Nothing is out of their price range. Seemingly happy. Would you be jealous of this person? If the answer is yes, you could seriously be depriving yourself of the same and better. What is jealousy? Jealousy is much more than just wanting what someone else has. It also includes a bit of anger, hate, passion, and negativity.

5 WAYS TO BOOST YOUR SELF CONFIDENCE

#1 Check Your Posture & SMILE
There are always going to be situations where your confidence might be a bit compromised and you need something that can change the way you feel instantly. Confidence comes from a place of power; if your shoulders are slumped over, if your face is just hanging around, chances are that your thoughts aren’t supporting your power. When you aren’t feeling your best, simply check and adjust your posture. Also, don’t forget to smile. Push yourself farther than you want to be and you’ll relax into where you’ll need to be. What I mean is, smiling really big for even a minute releases feel-good chemicals in your body. So before appearing anywhere you want to make a great impression, take a moment to smile really, REALLY big. It will feel awkward at first, but keep holding it and within a minute or two you’ll be feeling better and your face should have relaxed into a more natural and authentic smile. Where the body goes, the mind will follow and your soul will feel something. Use this simple idea to your advantage.
