Have you ever looked at your life and felt stuck in your
circumstances? So many people are living limited lives and don't even
realize they can do something about it. They limit themselves by what
they can see or what they knew growing up. They limit themselves by what
their family has accomplished—if no one in their family went to
college, they think they can't either. They let other people define
them, or they let their resources define them. They are limited because
their focus is limited.
If you've settled where you are in life, take this truth in: when you
acknowledge God, there are no limits. When you put Him first, you are
not limited by your circumstances, your past, the economy, or what you
have been told you can or can't do. You are the only one who sets the
limits for your life, and today, you can take the limits off by putting
your faith and hope in Almighty God!
In Psalm 3, King David said, "Lord, how many are my foes! How many
rise up against me! … But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory,
the One who lifts my head high." When he wrote this scripture, he was in
a very difficult situation. He was actually running for his life. But
notice, David didn't just tell the Lord all about his problems. He
didn't just sit and think, Looks like it's all over for me. I guess there's no way out. No, David spoke faith and made the choice to take his eyes off of his circumstances and focus on his limitless God!
Today, no matter how things look around you, what matters most is
what's happening in you. Take the limits off by trusting God. Follow
David's example, and instead of just telling God about your problems,
focus on His promises and declare His Word over your life!
"Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your
own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct
your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV)
YOU ARE NOT LIMITED
